This is my favorite era to sew for, and this ensemble is "a keeper" after sewing many to sell. No, it's not extravagant silk and lace, but made out of a lovely floral stripe light cotton for a day dress and cotton "unmentionables."
It is all finished, but for the hem and I wanted to try it on so that I would know how much to hem up. Molly took the pictures of me wearing it despite barefeet, wearing a watch, and doing nothing with my hair.

Thankyou. =) At this point, I'm not sure when I will get dressed up in it again. I know a homeschooled graduate up here who has gone to some "English Country dances", and so if I am ever able to go, I would be sure to take pictures then when I'd try to be more historically correct, ie, without a watch, some ballet flats, and figure out something to do with my hair. We'll see. =)

:Gasp: That is just beautiful. I've made 2 regency dresses (without undergarments) One was for Christmas, in crushed green velvet. It turned out ok, but I was pregnant at the time and so it fit kind of funky, and the bodice pieces were too wide so the shoulders felt like they were falling off all the time (and didn't cover up my shoulder tattoos - oops) The second, I did for Easter in a solid lavender and white with purple flowers. I made it according to the nursing alteration instructions on sensibility.com. It worked a little better but the bottom of the bodice comes up too high and it feels too restrictive so I don't wear it very much. It turned out beautiful though. I need to play around with the pattern a little more and see what works for my body build..
