I'm serious. If I had 1,000 zippers, I know that I could find enough fabric in my fabric bins to make a 1,000 of these little cosmetic pouches.
They're fun to decorate, and easy to put together! Not to mention they make a great way to use up some stashed scraps of fabric and notions.
Like 'em? They're in the shop...

They are darling!
Very cute. ;)
So cute!!! :)
Cheri, how funny -- I just went through my scraps and cut them into "cosmetic pouch" shape! ;-) But finding zippers is another matter!
I love how you decorated yours!

I love these - such a creative way to use up fabric scrapS! (or, ahem, maybe not 'use up' but at least use some!) Did you come up with the pattern/idea yourself? What fun!
btw, you HAVE inspired me, I do believe. :) Anyhow, I love keeping on seeing your projects, and so this first week of the new year I have completed 3 dresses and one pair of bloomers - it's been fun to see progress and be back in the sewing room again knocking things away, being creative and having fun! Just wanted to let you know - don't quit, I love seeing your projects and it's encouraged me to do it again. Can't wait to see what'll be next. :)
Those are so cute! Have you checked thrift shops for zippers? My favorite one to go to has a little sewing section with vintage (unused) zippers for about 10 or 15 cents apiece. Buying zippers brand new can get soooo pricey when you need a lot of them!
