For a long time, I have admired a blouse seen worn by a friend's friend of mine, and I finally but reluctantly took apart a blouse she gave to me, to make a pattern off of. The results were very pleasing, except...
it turned out to be a size eight! I had forgotten to add room to make it a size 12 so I am having to sell this, as I don't know how long it will take me to get back to a size 8. =P Oh well, maybe someone else will enjoy it!

That is such a neat pattern! It looks like it would be neat for a dress top too. Do you think it would be too blousey for a dress top, or would some alterations be needed to make it fit right? Again, that's very lovely! Too bad you can't wear it now!
When yuo say blousey, do you mean dressy, roomy? If I were to make it in a dress, I would probably add darts, or tucks, or something so it wouldn't hang "straight."
In fact, I want to make my wedding dress using this pattern. I'll e-mail you a picture of the friend's friend wearing it for her wedding dress. I can't tell if it's a blouse & skirt, or a blouse made into a dress. =)
Very pretty; it looks like you. :) I like the trim. When you make one for yourself will you please post pictures? :)
That's funny that you think it looks like me! I'm afraid some of my likes in clothing are behind about 20 years. ::wink::
Well, if you might be waiting awhile for me to get down to a size 8, =P but I'll post pictures if I remember to!
That came out beautifully! The fabric and lace go well with the pattern, too.
