After seeing Anna's 1950's apron quite sometime ago, I have always looked for the same pattern, and wouldn't you know it, I just found one! I was tickled pink, and in just the size I wanted too since with vintage patterns, I usually have to go a couple sizes larger.
So now, I'll have to decide if I want to use my retro fabric found at an antique store on this pattern or another fun one that I purchased off of ebay. Which of the two patterns do you like?
Now I'm wondering: How did I get addictive to aprons?

I've seen that pattern on eBay before, too! I love the blue and white striped version on the left. Do you think you will do the donuts and coffee on the pocket? :)
I probably will some time, but if I use the retro fabric in my stash, I wouldn't, just because it would "go." =)
Who says you can't make both of them? I mean, really, can anyone have enough aprons?
I have my theory as to why we like them. They are pretty and feminine in a world that doesn't offer us ladies much in the way of 'lady-like' things. They are generally quick and easy to make--as nice as dresses, but no sleeves or zippers to deal with! And, keeping the thought 'so much fabric, so little time', they are an excuse for a lot of variety without spending a fortune.
Like we need excuses, LOL!
Thanks for the comment! It made me smile! =D I will be making both of them eventually, but wasn't sure which of the two patterns I should use my vintage fabric on.
