Yes! I am home! =) After being gone for 3 1/2 weeks, it was a delight to step onto "home soil" this afternoon! Stay tuned for perhaps a few pictures (if anyone is interested) and some news that will definately change my life for awhile, as an avid seamstress.
In the meantime, LAF recently published an article I submitted quite awhile ago, and while I don't have the gift of writing, every now and then I get inspiration to write something. =) So if you have time, feel free to take a look at some scribbled notes to fellow single young women that I probably wrote close to 2 years ago.

ok Cheri...I for one am anxiously waiting. What, did you meet your 'knight in shining armor' while you were away?? Do tell us please!! :)
Glad you're back and had a good time!!
I am so glad you are back!
I missed your posts :)
Could you elaborate more on how you made your half robe? I just can't seem to get the pieces to look right with the regecny dress pattern. Thanks!
Lynn
So good to have you back! I enjoyed reading your article very much. Although it was written for single women there is a lot there that can apply to everyone!
Looking forward to pics and updates! :)
Ruth Ann,
No worries, I didn't meet my 'knight in shining armor.' =)
Lynn,
I used the neckline suppliment bodice patterns from S&S. I haven't seen the Simplicity version, but I basically just tweaked the bodices to how I wanted them.
The front bodice however took a lot of altering. I pretty much cut it in half, and then tailored it so that there wouldn't be any gathers or darts in the front side bodice. I drafted the front belts.
Sarah,
Thankyou! It's great to be back! =)
Welcome back! What pattern do you use for your peasant blouse? Or do you use a pattern??
Thanks!!

Hello Long ladies!
I was just visiting your blog this morning and saw your website! How exciting!
Welcome back, Cheri! And thank you so much for posting the article -- it was an excellent reminder of the need to be (joyfully) patient in whatever circumstances God has placed us in, and I (for one) thought it was very well written :)
Yours in Christ,
Shannon
