I can't remember the last time I made a Regency dress. It is always a good feeling to finish one. Whether it is a beginner or an experienced seamstress sewing one, they always have an air of gracefulness and femininity about them.
I especially like the vintage buttons on this one. They almost match the fabric perfectly!

It is beautiful! Did you use the Elegant Ladies Closet pattern for it? I plan on getting that pattern pretty soon. I do love the fabric you chose and you are right, the buttons do match very well!! What a lovely dress for fall time!
Thankyou, Sarah. =)
I actually used her basic Regency gown pattern and combined those, the neckline supplements and the Elegant Ladies Closet bodice patterns to get the look I like. =D I'm still toying with them and actually often never make one Regency dress like another.
I have a sheer white cotton voile that has subtile stripes in it, that I will be using the ELC pattern for and probably won't change much on that one. It's supposed to go with my peach open-robe so that I can have a Marianne Dashwood ensemble. =) I may end up selling them though as much as I hate to. Right now income is more needed than having historically/movie inspired gowns hanging up in a closet. =P
Lovely dress!!! its perfect the color, the buttons, the pattern!!!
i want to make one for myself some day....:-) and yes i want to see more pix!!

Oh, this dress is exquisite! I LOVE the fabric and button combination. It looks like a very well made garment. You certainly know your sewing, Cheri!
