Afternoon delights from the antique store

My first antique copy of Dickens, a small yellow mixing bowl, and a baby spoon from the 20's -- all for under $10.

I love thrift shopping, and it looks like you got some real treasures!! The Pickwick Papers is one of my favorite Dickens novels. I think I need to re read it now!

Oh I'm so glad to know that, Sarah Jane. I've never read anything by Dickens, so this will be the first!

Oh!! I almost envy you having never read Dickens. You are in for a superb treat!!! David Copperfield is my absolute favorite but the Pickwick Papers are a close second. It took me a little while to get into but do persevere - it is wonderful once the characters and setting are established!!

I'm sensing I've found a 'bosom friend.' A fan of Miss Shirley and a thrift-store fiend ... it must be.
