National De-Lurking Day!

Happy New Years everyone! So you don't have to ask, =) yes I was up late last night but lying bed so once the clock stuck 12:00, I could fall asleep. Actually I was up praying and reading my Bible when 2007 became 2008.

Last night I came up with the brilliant idea of making today the sewing blog's De-lurking Day! =) I always love hearing from readers, old friends, new friends, and first-time vistor's/commenter's. So if could persuade you, can you introduce yourself? =) You can make it brief, "Hi my name is ____" or a long intro! If it would help, I will do so myself:

My name is Cheri (pronounced share-e) and I am a 23 year old 2nd born who continues to live at home with my parents and 6 siblings. I love sewing (can't you tell?) and also love playing violin, and well...I love a bunch of things! =)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EDIT: Hmm, this may have to be turned into a De-Lurking week. LOL! I promise I don't bite, and it would very much brighten my day to hear from readers! From past "de-lurking days" I had a nice assortment of readers from mothers, to young women, to even some of the girls' brothers!
Wow - I'm only second! I've delayed commenting, and I'm still close to the top. Oh well!
Alright, you know who I am, but for the sake of formality, my name is Andrea Herrlinger. I'm 21 and the oldest of seven children. I found this blog through YOU! :-) My interests include music, sewing, photography, missions, and many varied and diverse other things.
I've loved keeping up here! Hugs to you, Cheri!
Jessica,
Thanks for introducing yourself; I recognize your SN from the S&S board. =)
Your photography sites are really nice! I'll have to point my younger sister in that direction, as she is interested in photography.
Andrea,
Hi! =) I know am surprised that only two comments have been made, too.
And I'm Rachel and I play the piano. :) I also read, sew occasionally, spend time with my family and friends, play the violin...and I got started coming here because Cheri is a friend from the "real world" (as opposed to the "blogging world".
Thanks for the work you put into this blog, Cheri! It's one of my favorites. (I personally think your de-lurking days are rather fun. :)
Hi! My name is Courtney, and although I read your blog daily, I don't comment very often! :)
I am 16 and the oldest of 9, I love the violin and am currently studying that and piano.
I LOVE to read, and sew, and knit, and crochet, and do photography, and garden, ........etc.! :)
I have very much enjoyed seeing all the projects you work on. It has inspired me to do more sewing!
Have a great day!
Hi Cheri!
I think I've commented before, but I'm not sure.
I like to see what your latest creations are. I have no idea how I came across your blog, but it is really sweet and I've recommended it on mine.
I'm Mama to five (one safe in the womb) and love to create in my spare time - usually late at night!
Blessings,
Hannah
Hi Cheri,
sorry I'm a bit late :-) I come here every few days to see what you've sewn. I really like your winter skirt you posted :-D
I found your blog about 2 weeks back from a friend's LJ.
Anyway, I'm Amanda, 16 (ok, not quite, but very soon!), live in the South, and can't sew a flip! The last time I tried sewing anything, it came out just awful :-P I think I'll stick with computers and knitting :-D
well, but wanted to comment so you know who reads your posts!
I just found this now... a few days after you posted it. So, that's why I haven't de-lurked until now.:)
My name is also Courtney (I think we Courtneys might be setting a trend here?!) Oldest of 7 children, younger than my husband and older than my 3 children (duh). My interests include children, babies, houses, cooking, decorating, piano, sewing, and a nice husband. I love coming to your blog Cheri and seeing what beautiful creations you are concocting. You are an inspiration when/if I ever get a chance to creep into my own sewing room. :)
Keep up your posting! I love your varied and many topics.
well my name is Ruth Ann, and found your blog through Biblical Womanhood I do believe. It's neat to see what you sew and all. I love sewing, photography, pretty things and all. I've enjoyed checking in on your blog. Although I haven't commented much at all. :)
Hi Cheri! I'm rather late because I've been so busy lately. :) Normally I check your blog every couple of days, just to see what you're up to. I can't remember where I came across it from - possibly Biblical Womanhood.
Anyway, my name is Jenny from Neuropoetry, and I'm the mother of two little boys (and many babies in heaven). We are a homeschooling family, and in whatever spare time I can find I love to knit, read, play guitar or piano, and make my house a home for my family. :) At this point I only sew by hand (I still haven't gotten over my fear of sewing machines!) - most of my sewing is actually mending. It's a good thing I can at least do that much with so many boys in the house! :) If I'm not mending little boy socks then I'm mending my husbands pants! :)
Blessings to you!
