In Need of Tea

"Mrs Bunting! We are in desperate need of tea!"
quoting Mrs. Palmer from the 1995 version of Sense & Sensibility,
Eleanor and Marianne above after arriving to the Palmers estate

It has been a delightful few days for us as late with what some would refer to as "gloomy weather" of dark clouds and much rain, but I thoroughly enjoy it! Instead of sewing, I have kept myself busy around the house and this morning made some English Muffins.
One of my brothers (he'd be a perfect Englishman!) comes up to me, and says, "...We are in desperate need of tea!" He shares my delight and enthusiasm for English things, accents, and teas. I think I'll go put some water on the stove. Would anyone else like to join us? =)

Oh my! I could truly use some "English weather" (as well as tea) - the weather here has been miserably hot - I can't wait for the crisp air of Fall!

Your weather and your tea plans sound delightful! It's a bit TOO hot around here, but I love the image you bring up with your post. :)

My daughter, who gets caught speaking with an English accent when she doesn't even realize she is--would love to join you!

I know English weather all too well, living in England. Grey skies in summer, rain in summer... the list goes on! I've never made English muffins though; hope that you enjoyed them!

We've had a bit of "English weather" (which I love!), and will probably have more on the way -- I'd love to join you for some tea! :-) And homemade English muffins sound delightful!

Yours in Christ,
Shannon

Cheri, may I ask where you find the little pictures of movies such as this? I would love to add something like this to my blog if I should post about Austen or something, if that's alright with you? Thank you!

Along the same lines of my previous question, where might I find such delightful pictures as the one in 'Robert's" profile? I love pictures like that and would love to use it as my wallpaper. TIA

Hi Yaya,

I found my S&S picture from searching on google for screencaps from that movie. I found a whole site full of JA movie screen caps, but never saved the site.

As far as old fashioned pictures, I don't know what to recommend to you. When I published a magazine, I had two reliable painting websites that allowed saving them to your computer (as long as they were commerically used, but for personal things), but when our computer recently crashed, my favorites were all deleted and I unfortunately don't remember the sites!

I adore my tea.I take it 3-4 times a day- but then I am Irish and Ireland is a wet, damp sponge of a country.

I love English things too! Jane Austen in my favorite author EVER. I slip into an English accent without even thinking and surf the web for Austen movie pictures, as well. Small world.
